Murtaza Abidi

Research Assistant

Murtaza graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc degree in Ergonomics as well as a (DPS) Diploma in Professional Studies. Prior to graduating, Murtaza worked as an industrial ergonomist at Michelin Tyres Plc in Dundee, Scotland and also worked on freelance human factors projects at a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant at Dubai. More recently he was employed by RNIB’s London consultancy office as the sole product access consultant working with clients including Triton, Mira, TfL and Procter & Gamble on a range of inclusive design projects. His experience includes ergonomic assessments of products as well as planning and conducting powerful user research through engaging methods.
Murtaza is currently completing his MSc in Integrated Product Design at Brunel’s School of Engineering and Design. His major project focuses on the effects of an ageing population on public sector social care services. The design phase of this project involves the co-design of a simplified concept social care service promoting care for and by local communities.
