Fergus Bisset

Mphil student

Fergus was a Research Assistant within the School of Engineering and Design at Brunel University in West London. Working as a designer on an EPSRC public engagement project titled Real World Design, this will engage members of the public with Ergonomics and Human Centred Design through a website and an exhibition opening at The Design Museum in November 2009 (www.realworlddesign.org).

In parallel Fergus is also pursuing his own design research into Intrinsically Motivating Design in Relation to Training and Education. This builds upon work he began in his undergraduate Industrial Design degree at Brunel which he graduated from in 2008 with First Class Honours and supplements his work and professional experience around the world as an ISIA accredited ski coach. Fergus was Creative Director of Made in Brunel 2008. He is conducting Mphil studies under the supervision of Dr Mark Young and Dr Hua Dong.
